Matt was a more mature student who came to me after his wife nagged him to call. He had sat his test many years ago and had had a difficult time of it. He failed, and worse still, the experience put him off a re-sit. We spent a lot of time building his confidence by driving a variety of roads - busy, high speed, multi lane. There was little wrong with his driving but he doubted himself all the time. After many weeks of encouraging him and assuring him, he was making good, safe decisions. We booked his test. On the big day Matt decided to have me in the back of the car for added assurance. I witnessed a faultless drive and he passed with just 1 error.
